Going Quiet
Once you buy a suppressor, you'll wonder why you ever went without one.

They are not mine. They are for sale!
I'm an AAC dealer now. :D (ETA): I meant the cans aren't mine. They are on my inventory. |
i want one! my brother has one on his 10/22 and that thing is darn quiet. you only hear the slide. on a bolt action .22, it would be quieter than a mouse fart.
first thing i do when/if i move from this State is get that process started. while i wait, i yank off the CIS on my 911, and go carbs :D |
I'd love a can for my rimfires, but they are over priced here in America, and then add the tax stamp and associated BS on top of that... Nope, I'll just use CCI Quiets in my long barrel 22s... darn near suppressor level quiet out of a 26" bolt gun

This one looks effective and affordable

The guy that makes the oil can suppressor is a retired EOD guy. Sad when you pay more in taxes than the suppressor is worth.
Looks amusing though, huh. |
how the heck do you aim that thing?
|
I have a Marlin Camp 45. If I lived in a free State I would love to have it modded. There's a whole lenght barrel with a can on it
|
co worker has a biathlon style .22 bolt action with a nice scope.. but he's a little too close to town, and thinks the neighbors are getting annoyed with him plinking cans all the time. think it would be great with a silencer.
|
That oil can set up is quiet. I saw a guy with a Briggs and Stratton muffler stuffed on the end of a 22. It worked pretty good but nothing like the oil can.
