Remote controlled special effects, too...like the sparks, smoke, and blown hydraulics.

You gotta love how well they script "reality" TV these days.

Not to rant but what is up with Syfy? Another "Reality" show that has little or nothing to do with science fiction. Put that right up there with people walking around in the dark touching things.

Used to be you could see series and movies about science fiction on the Scifi channel. Thank you NBC for saving this network with such good programing. :rolleyes:

Well, true to the network's name, it is fiction. :D

...........and I hate reality shows..........with a passion...........I watched just the last couple minute of Robot Combat TV show, and just from a mechanical perspective and closed loop servo/hydraulic fast response control system (I'm an electrical automation engineer), it made me think how far we've come from Sigorny Weaver in Aliens 2 when she kicks butt in the yellow exoskeleton loader.

Yes the TV show is very corny basic, but That technology and remote person controlling a robot is going to be football players in 30-45 years, boxer, miners, deep sea and space robots..........

Right now it's crap but what will it be in 5 years? (they need to loose the rear support bar)

There's some serious money in those robots.

Honda has been working on ASIMO since the mid 90's, and have advanced generations in technology.
