Theft of Essence

Man says ex-girlfriend stole his sperm, had his baby | khou.com Houston

Yes, a man had saved some of his precious bodily fluids and had it stored at a clinic. An ex-girlfriend somehow knew about this and made a withdrawal. SmileWavy

(I thought there was a substantial penalty for early withdrawal... :p ). Anyway...

She had another doctor inseminate her. This took place about 3 years ago and the man is now suing the clinic and the ex-girlfriend.

You can't make this crap up! :D

It wouldn't have happened if he wasn't under the influence of fluoridation.

I suppose she could be prosecuted for theft and fraud, but...

The courts will rule that the overarching interest is that of the child, even if it's conception was an illegal act. Yep... He'll pay child support.

I heard a story a few months back (I think it was somewhere in the Midwest, but memory fails me at the moment) where a gentleman helped a lesbian couple conceive a child. Due to strained finances, they didn't go the normal insemination via clinic route. Basically, he banged one of them till she was preggers. Fast forward a bit; the women split up and the one who kept the kid sued the dude for child support...and won. I guess the law stipulates that if you go through a sperm clinic, you're not liable for any kind of parental responsibility, but when it's just a dude donating to the cause in a more physical way...you're on the hook.

Unbelievable, if so.
Strange days have found us.

This is not the first time I have heard of this. Similar story about a man of some means who had the occasional partner. He always used protection, then immediately after took said item and flushed it down the toilet.

One of these 'adventures' he for whatever reason threw it in the trash instead of flushing it. The girlfriend then goes in the bathroom right after him, finds the.........thing, fishes it out of the trash and empties the contents into her......................well you know.

She leaves the next day and while he is cleaning the crib up realizes that the bathroom trash can has fewer contents than the prior evening. He contacts GF and confronts her......she totally denies it. He is powerless to prove otherwise.

Few months go by and guess who is calling who and what are they discussing?? He, of course, ended up paying child support for his newly born son................................
