haha. i'm shopping for a Sling-shot. any good ones?

all winter, i have been tending to my mega compost piles. days are getting warmer and longer.

garden time is here and i have a rodent problem. my bow is too huge, slow and downright dangerous in my backyard. a pellet rifle is a commitment, plus my fences wont stop the pellets.

time to throw rocks! and throw them fast. i want a wrist rocket. i am leaning towards the wrist rocket-pro. anyone?

i am channeling my inner child look at this thing!

Baz, you know that thing is banned. It has a pistol grip forward of the trigger mechanism.

Any $14.99 job at WalMart will be a good start. Often sold in kits with a bunch of shiny ball bearing balls.

Yes, my kids NEEDED one of these last year. LOL!

I've got one called a Marksman 30 06. I don't know where they got the idea of calling it a 30 06 from. Anyway... It's dealt with a varity of rodent problems over the years.

A slingshot would be fun, but probably more accident prone than an air rifle in a confined space. If you will be shooting at rodents, you'll be shooting toward the ground. So for better accuracy and killing power, I'd actually go for an air rifle. I don't know much about them except for mine, but maybe you could find a used pump rifle or maybe somebody makes a modern one. That way you could experiment until you got the right amount of pumps to kill but not go through your fence. I found out after you kill off the dummies (in the ground squirrel population that is), the ones left over are pretty crafty, so hiding with the air gun would also be easier than using a slingshot where you'd need more exposure to get your shot.

Go to Walmart and buy a slingshot AND a Crossman 760 bb/pellet gun for under $50 total.... best of both worlds for plinking/pest control.

I like the live trap option. Makes them easier to hit with a sling shot.
