Best bass amp for around $600?
So, I've gotten pretty pretty good on the bass in the last couple of months and need to upgrade to a decent amp setup. Managed to get a band going here, and the current amp really is lacking in tone (Peavey TNT130 garbage score). I'd like something that doesnt break up as easily at higher volumes. Not really using any pedals except for a crybaby.
We are doing a few Tool covers plus some originals. Really looking for something with clean tone that can keep up with the guitar player's Fender Twin Reverb. Think Chris Squire (yeah I know, Ricks are $2000+) Greg Lake/John Paul Jones type sound. I'm playing a Fender Jazz Bass currently with reissue '62 pickups. What would you guys reccomend for around $600? SVT? SWR?

I have a Peavey MarkVI head with 2 each 215 cabinets which I play my 1993 Ibanez SR1305 through. The amp has more than enough to keep up with many guitar stacks.

I have a Hartke I would sell cheap. It has a weird fan noise. It would crush the Peavey. Not a GREAT amp but gig-able I think.
