I have a female cat that can fetch..Feline Prodigy/money maker ??

Hello.
I have 2 cats.
The female is the size of a 7 month old, but she is full grown. Calico.
Strange thing is..She fetches almost anything and will bring back inches from my hand.
Should we go on X-Factor or what?

Is this a rarity/ freak?..or just a cat that wishes to make me happy because I am a few steps away from Jesus?
Animal worship perhaps?

Youtube meme?

I've had 5 cats, two of them were fetchers...

Pretty common. We had one that would go find things and bring them to you on command. One cat had a little rubber tire that it loved to play fetch with and even after a few days it could go find it on its own. The cat's name was Mandy and I'd say, "Mandy, where's your tire?" and the cat's head would whip around and it would run off and 5 minutes later come back with the tire in its mouth.

Yeah, our 10 month old Bengal loves to fetch paper or foil balls.

If said cat could do the dishes you may have something there.

"...within inches of my hand." Definitely a cat!

svandamme 03-07-2013 06:41 AM

mine fetches mouse heads.

Umm - no.

I have a rabbit that can dance, hop backwards, give me a kiss, run around me on command, beg and some other silly stuff. But I really don't think he's gonna make me rich with his antics!

The days of Real People, That's Incredible, and America's Funniest Home Videos have been replaced wtih "Real Housewives," "Dancing with the Stars," "Kardashians," and a dozen other scripted reality shows. These days people would rather see nobody's getting into a fight in a restaurant than be mezmerized by a cat that fetches or a bunny that hops backwards.

Sad that real talent like your cat and my bunny have been replaced by Kim Kardashian. It is the end of civilization, I tell ya!

Now my male cat... he can whip up an omelet and makes a mean margarita...

But refuses to be filmed...

Says he doesn't want to be a media whore...

CATS!

Two cats, both love to fetch the foam golf balls.

It's a common thing. What is uncommon is for a cat to do it more than 3 times in a row. They are not stupid and boring games bore them.

matt f 03-07-2013 07:40 AM

My Savannah makes me play fetch.
If I don't throw the toy, a stuffed strawberry, within his time frame, I am reprimanded which usually leaves a mark.

BReif61 03-07-2013 07:40 AM

My catch won't fetch, but she will run to the window when she hears me coming home, like a dog.

Only because she's hungry, but what do you expect?

Our cat was very stupid, evidently. It would do it over and over and over until it would sit there panting.

ROFL

Sounds like it was raised with dogs.

a buddy's Siamese would mug you for the plastic off your cigarette pack
then play fetch with it

red-beard 03-07-2013 08:55 AM

Our cat liked plastic packing tape. It would chew it off boxes.
