Revenge of the Electric Car

Just watched this...

Ouch, watching Musk behind the scenes was painful. With him running the show they haven't a chance in hell. Seems like a nice guy, but wildly out of his depth.

And that "gadget" guy, double ouch. There is no doubt a laundry list of family and friends that want a few minutes alone with him today.

Kudos to both if them for the effort though, I really mean that.

I feel like I walked into the middle of a conversation.

So, Revenge of the Electric Car is a documentary and Musk must be a high up in Tesla? Or is he involved in making the documentary and is "out of his depth"? I like me a good documentary overall; if you recommend this I'll check it out.

It's a recent history documentary (with heavy pro-electric slant) of electric vehicles. It covers Tesla (owned and run by Elon Musk), the Chevy Volt, the Nissan Leaf and some idiot garage goober.

I just enjoy the behind the scenes look at the people that you get in these films, beyond that it's quite poorly done so I'm not sure I would recommend it.

There's a Tesla "dealership" in one of the malls here with one of the chassis on display. If the quality of welding is indicative of the rest of the car, Tesla has a long way to go.

I genuinely felt sorry for Musk at times. It is obvious chaos there and I can tell he is getting zero joy from it. I bet he knows it's fate is sealed but can't bring himself to letting his people down.

The recent grotesque infusions of cash will only go so far, I'm sure they've burned through most of that already. This is, no doubt, not what he signed up for.

Who holds back the electric car? The invisible hand.
