Would you did it?

Two yrs. in solitary confinement for $15.5 million dollars. SmileWavy

WolfeMacleod 03-08-2013 10:26 AM

Tax Free?

Jferr006 03-08-2013 10:27 AM

No I would not DO it ;)

I'd go crazy..obviously. Then the funds would be useless.

no! ;)

gtc 03-08-2013 10:30 AM

If it were just the solitary confinement... sure. But the guy now has serious problems with the health of his mind and body.

varmint 03-08-2013 10:30 AM

better than two years in general population.

yes

cstreit 03-08-2013 10:31 AM

Could we share?

How about 4 people do 6 months for $3 million each?

8 people do three months for $1.5 million?

I'm negotiating here!

I might do the three months, provided the other, um, "amenities" of prison life weren't included.

:D

BlueSkyJaunte 03-08-2013 10:31 AM

In solitary? Hell yes. I get along great with my other three personalities!

Aragorn 03-08-2013 10:32 AM

If you are talking about the DUI guy in New Mexico, he was a few fries short of a happy meal anyway.

For that amount of coin, just consider me a silent monk...:D

jwgn777 03-08-2013 10:34 AM

I was in solitary for 1 year you guys wouldn't make it.

Burnin' oil 03-08-2013 10:35 AM

I'd do it for nothing.

If I still married to my first wife? Cakewalk!

HardDrive 03-08-2013 10:40 AM

Sit and do nothing, and receive $7.75 million a year? Sounds like half the CEOs in America.

shadowjack1 03-08-2013 10:41 AM

I did it an hour ago and I'm ready to do it again. Mel Brooks

sammyg2 03-08-2013 10:42 AM

no I would not did it.

bcgreen 03-08-2013 10:43 AM

Hell yes. Do you an easier way without getting caught?

herr_oberst 03-08-2013 11:00 AM

If I had to duplicate that guy's situation, then, no, because he's F'U'd, mentally and physically.

If I could write a few conditions into my stay at the greybar, like basic toiletries, a little exercise in the yard, a few books and magazines, some art supplies, a rock hammer and a poster of Racquel Welch, then, maybe.

RonDent 03-08-2013 11:09 AM

I work in a cubical. Not too much difference there.

Tervuren 03-08-2013 11:18 AM

Had to look up what you guys are talking about. Sounds like the real kicker here is being held without charges. Not the actual prison conditions?

McLovin 03-08-2013 11:21 AM

If there was a computer and wifi available, there's a few guys here that would do it for sure.

They wouldn't even notice the difference from their life now.

Don't forget a clean pair of shoes.

jwgn777 03-08-2013 05:25 PM

Some of us may make it however we might age a little.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1362795882.jpg

83_Silberpfeil 03-08-2013 06:06 PM

I take exception to that assessment. It is more like 90% of CEOs.

M.D. Holloway 03-08-2013 06:29 PM

In a heartbeat!

jamesnmlaw 03-08-2013 06:50 PM

$1,000 per hour, 24 7. Have to give that some thought.

GWN7 03-08-2013 11:08 PM

The jury originally gave him $22 million.

Nostril Cheese 03-08-2013 11:21 PM

This reminds me of a short story by Stephen King called The Jaunt.

Rick V 03-09-2013 01:44 AM

think I would be able to do it, and yes I would as long as I could have books. Sometimes I just long for solitude, and a book. Don't forget to feed my cats while I am away please

svandamme 03-09-2013 02:18 AM

define 2 years in solitary first

- Can family visit?
- TV?
- books?
- Daily hour out for a walk?
- Phone calls?
- what other do's or can't do's ?

Could i do it, sure
Would i ? Not sure.. It's a funny thing to be deprived of your freedom, to be told 24/7 what to do or not do, to live by somebody else's clock. To eat and wear the food and clothes you have been given.

Not sure how many of you have ever been there, and no , i don't mean army or company meetings. I mean truly being imprisoned is something entirely different.
