Looking at a 2000 BMW with 60,000 km (37,000 miles), regular servicing.
Does only 4600 km (2800 mile) per year actually do more harm than good?

I think it's fine as long as the mileage was spread out over the years. If it was driven a lot early on and then parked for a year at a time, not so much. But with regular service and some tires, that car would be cool with me. The records will show the pattern of use.

My '93 964 has 38k miles. Used a couple of times per month for some joy riding. No problemo.
