Pennisula European, Palo Alto
It was a while ago that I picked up a license plate frame from a fellow Pelican from "Peninsula European" in Palo Alto Calif.
I bought it because I used to live in Palo Alto and Los Altos back in the '70s. A long time before it was Silicon Valley. I remember seeing Peninsula European as I was tooling around the area. I have been trying to dig up some info on it but have come up empty handed online. Does anyone have a recollection of this shop and where it was located? ![]() Thanks,

I suggest that you try this -
Send an e-mail to the main Palo Alto public library, attn: Reference Librarian. Give her/him the info you have (name of business, in business in the 1970s), and ask her/him whatever you want to know... years in business, address(es) of business, principal owner(s), did it change business names and continue on, and perhaps is still in business under another name?, etc. Reference librarians are very good at answering such questions. ![]() _ |

the state will have records of all licensed businesses - whether they kept records that old is another question
also, they'll charge something |

I found a link through some California business incorporation site (can't recall exactly what it was, not at home right now). The address matches my recollection, however, times change. It looks like a Fisker dealer now. Corner of Charleston Rd and El Camino Real. I lived not far from there.
Also posted on the other boards. Good idea Zeke.
