Site for last minute flights?
Is there a website or service for cheap last minute flights, 1 to 3 day advance purchase? Just did Travelocity and rates were very high unless I'm booking 2 weeks out. May need to go to Detroit.

Travel Zoo has many options on how to search for flights.......

My experience with last minute flights is that they KNOW you need to travel now, and they stick it to you.

that's what I'm getting Hugh. I don't need to, but rather potentially want to. if the price were right, I would. it's definitely not, even with Travel Zoo. I was hoping they'd want to fill seats but I think you are correct.

I have flown Spirit Airlines out of Detroit to Dallas roundtrip for under $400 a couple times in the last 6 months. Purchased the ticket on Spirit's website at 3:00 pm and was in the air the same day at 8:00 pm. Much cheaper than the other airlines, but I had to go directly to Spirits website to find the flights.

If flying Spirit, make sure to bring your own seat belt...they might charge for one

Flew spirit once. It's worse than the city bus. The cost savings will have to be 50% or more before I consider flying it again.
