Anyone around Santa Clara/Mountain view up for dinner
 

Hi,

I'm heading down to Mountain View next week for training. It's only a couple days of training (and a couple of flying), but I thought I would ask if anyone is free on Wed. Night (20th) for dinner. Looking for a good place and am staying at the Hyatt Santa Clara.

Let me know as it would be fun to meet a few of you.

Did you know that there is a 935 in a shop foyer in Mountain View? It was "crushed" into a cube. The key still turns in the door. Did you know the World Championship-winning 935 team was headquartered in Mountain View back in the late 70's and early 80's?

Great place for gourmet burgers and a huge variety of beers: Stake Out on Castro and California.

Great place for a drink: Fred's Place on Old Middlefield. The owner is a huge racing and Porsche fan and sponsors the Porsche Racing Club.

Great place for lunch, Peets coffee and chocolate chip cookies: Specialty's Cafe on Ellis near Moffet.

The PRC had some guest racers from Calgary back a few years ago. Sears Point and Laguna Seca.

I wish I had more time, never been to Silicon Valley, maybe I can take a trip to Cupertino and press my nose up to the mother ships' glass :D

I made it to San Jose, what a nightmare LAX is, bus from my international flight to another terminal to get back in the security line, then bus to regional carrier, almost missed my flight.

Anyway anyone still up for dinner on Wednesday (with your Porsches of course) :)
