How to Build a Supercar "MP4-12C"
As an engineer, I found this extremely interesting. While I think the exterior styling is a bit boring by "supercar" standards, the technology both in the car and in production is exceptional. If you can spare an hour, watch the whole thing.

One hour well spent! My appreciation for the Mclaren has actually changed. :-)

WOW! definitely worth making the time to watch. Thanks for posting, an amazing look at the aerospace style, modern supercar design/assembly process. Very interesting.
Cheers Richard |
Tanner Foust drove one on a recent Top Gear episode, raced a NASCAR driver around a road course. While not as funny as the original Top Gear I still watch it. Sweet car.

Awesome, thanks for sharing. Ons complaint, hundreds of thousands of square meters of roofs, and not a single solar panel to be found. :(

Where the hell did McLaren generate all that money?
|
Thanks for posting not seen it before
It was built on the site of an old ostrich farm in a green belt zone and the original plans had all the employees cars parked underground hidden from sight as Ron didn't like all the random shapes and colours they come in. Someone rolls over, scrubs and rotates the boulders around the lake so they don't have that nasty looking green moss growing on them below the water line. His attention to detail is legendary, only person in Formula 1 that can OCD him is Bernie |

I had watched it before on Youtube, and others on the even newer McLaren supercar.
That Ron Dennis is one OCD SOB. All my respect to him and his willingness to gamble. |
