How to Build a Tesla, Robots at work! The True American Spirit

Hey guys,

I came across this video, what is the True American Spirit, this guy could be sitting on his butt and smoking cigars, but he has chosen to use his PayPal sell money ($170M) to do what is considered a Revolution.

I know that some of you do not like to hear about an Electric Cars, but the idea of using robots a bit different way might be interesting to watch. Also, this is brand new factory with technology we (USA) should enjoy in every industry. PLUS this car MADE IN USA, it will use US made electricity, and no maintenance needed.

I think all of the manufacturers are using parts that made globally...

Also, more news about Tesla, they will make under $30k car soon, so that proves that they want to make it available for everyone... :D

They have one of the display chassis at a "dealership" in the mall here. Some of the worst welding I've ever seen.

I wonder about the economics of a $30K model.

I'm all for EVs.
They make damn good sense for a good percentage of most driving habits, and as a second "american family" car.

But:
The Tesla S is just a very expensive Lotus EV conversion,
The government repayment is just using private gambling money to repay a corporate gift paid by taxpayers (responsible of them, though ;))

We have to start somewhere with technology involved, This is 21st century and we are in the dark ages - Combustion Engines were invented a long time ago...

If we able to send man to the moon, I thinks new kind of cars are WAY OVERDUE....

This does't have to be EVs, but electricity is widely available, why not start with EVs and move to other technologies...

As far as money goes, I expressed it in my blog a long time ago: http://1-ev.blogspot.com/2011/05/1-evcom-at-delray-beach-3-charging.html

It's comical how folks think Tesla or any of the other EV guys are "inventing" or discovering grand things. This is more like rigging a goat to a cart instead of a horse because the goat eats less.
