Has the well truly run dry here? It seems like a party that ended hours ago...like being drunk and waiting for it to perk back up but it's over. Like all of the fun people left a while ago.

Endless thread titles with lyrics from some old radio song by Steve Miller, (talk about an artist whose well ran dry), and now just more witless babble...

Sad, really. This used to be a fun place. :(

Hey it's just one less amusing internet site to pass through in the am when I get up or when I'm waiting in line somewhere, there are still a few others. It's not the end of the world. But it was the first thing I ever got addicted to online many years ago and it used to be really fun. Things change.

It seems that some who were always good for a humorous or biting remark, or starting an interesting thread have either left or only poke their head in occasionally. I don't know whether it was the election year, life's priorities or personal attacks that made some leave.

At times it seems that you can't even comment on such mundane topics as "What's you favorite ice cream topping" without getting dogpiled on for having the wrong view, and then leave all "butthurt".

Sorry, Denis. I'd like to apologize to you personally for my part in ruining the solemn dignity that this (off topic forum on a fecking car web site) once allegedly contained.

I think that's true for a lot of places recently... the Craigslist "lesbian kink" forum for instance (or so I've heard). Not sure what's going on. It's like an epidemic of people discovering the real world.
