Porsche advertising strategy

Frequently I receive copies of Christophus and other related advertising and sales materials from Porsche. This particular brochure calls itself "Select." Anyway "Select" I believe needs to change their marketing approach a bit.

In the two examples below do you notice the products for sale or something else? Heck maybe this is how you sell towels and key chains.

I'd have guessed the first one was trying to sell the watch. It's the most prominent object in the photo.

It's called "Select" and below that is "Drivers Selection by Porsche Design." And on the back page it says it's published by Porsche AG. Porsche sends you a lot of stuff in the mail when you buy a new car from them.

Pretty standard for clothing catalogs these days... Hell the Moosejaw catalog tells a story every time....

Got that a few days ago, quick look and into the trash. Dramatically overpriced!

I actually had to scan to get any prices.

First one-"sleeves are too short" "dressage helmet" "what trinkets are they selling"

Second one-"white pants + dirty all season tires" "beach towel with no beach" "better leave before track officials catch them".

I found this in the mailbox yesterday. Tossed it to my daughter without opening it, and asked:
"Do you want to see some really overpriced stuff?"
First time the prices are not even listed. Guess they went up again.

No thanks.
