We have a side project to get a 1973 SM running... We nearly set it on fire today.... Good times.

What's the point of including the video, if the video doesn't actually show anything?

be careful how much ether you use, that stuff can and will bend engine parts real easy, especially diesel parts

In the event of a carb fire you should keep on cranking.

That'll get your heart pumping every time. I had one that I did not know caught fire, the hood was closed, it backfired twice, and would not start. Walked back into my house to get warmer clothes on to mess with it more, and when I looked out my window, the whole car was engulfed in flames . Total loss. It was only a camaro, but it was a nice clean 77 with a hot 327, gears, stall convertor etc..... I learned a good lesson that day.
