Certainly makes it look like a love/drama/action movie that happens to have some fast cars in it.

Gotta sell it to the non-racing fans. My plea to Ron Howard - Please watch "Driven" and do the opposite thing in every regard.

Hear, hear. Although for pure corn entertainment, I liked "Driven."

This Trailer made its rounds to all the gearheads in my office, we are all looking forward to seeing it.

Hope thats the case. Based on a true story but I would bet it has a Hollywood twist. Supposably been in the works for some time. Recall seeing an interview of Ron Howard where he mentioned Ecclestone being enthused and helpful. Funny 'Driven' was mentioned. It was brought up and where he seemed careful, avoided neg's and instead explained he wanted to tell a realistic story and of the period.

Driven- ha. Was at one of the races where they filmed. Actually was interesting to see the staged cutaway cars, etc. Met Sly but the moment Tim Allen was there, I figured it was going to be a comedy... well that movie almost could be.

Come to think of it, I'm actually in it. LOL A weenie among the many thousands at the celebration end of an actual race - big brahu with balloon's, fireworks :rolleyes:

Looks worth checking out.

In retrospect and not trying to mean spirited here but Hunt might have been right at home in NASCAR and in the boxing ring. A fighter... crasher, up, down, up, fighting rules, both cheered and spat upon.

those were the days of true rivalries, true champions. In my view Vettel wouldn't last in that environment, his piers would have figured out how to deal with his hubris
