A few years ago, I was working in Miami and most of the people I worked with were Cuban. One lady invited me to lunch at her home. She had made (among other things) chicaronnes - which I've probably mispelled...
When she told me what they were, I decided that I would not eat them. But they DID smell absolutely incredible and I didn't want to hurt her feelings. So I had one... Sweet mother Mary they were SOOOO amazing!!! Like bacon wrapped bacon/ham! angela
