You know where this guy works, right?

I think his boss might like to know about his extracurricular activities.

GWN7 01-13-2014 10:01 AM

Well you have been told what to do legally in your county to protect yourself but the reality is nothing you can do will protect you if he really is nuts and shoots your dog. Do what was suggested and have him served with a no trespass order. You mentioned other neibour's were having problems with him. Maybe get them all to serve him with notices. You might get a discount from the process server and maybe he will realise that if enough of the neibour's hate him he will sell and move.

Put up an electric fence to keep the dog on your property.

Run it few feet inside the property line so there is no chance of contact unless neighbor is on your property.

Put up No Trespassing signs.

Add cameras.

Good luck.

Good fences build good neighbors. I'd certainly put a nice big one up between us. ...and CCW in any common area...

As much as I'd want to threaten him back, no good would come of it really...

I think you and your neighbors should build an emergency landing barricade as used on aircraft carriers and erect and test it while your neighbor is out flying (so as not to bother him). Don't forget to notam the airport closed, and designate some one to take it down nod nod wink wink!

Process server went to serve a Trespass Notice against him today.
After it was over, they called me and let me know that Bob refused to identify himself, became hostile, and demanded the guy leave his property.

They sent out a second server who was able to forcibly serve the document.

They said I would receive a sworn statement from the process servers regarding the incident.

Bob's wife will be served at her place of employment tomorrow.
You just know she will love that. Try explaining to your boss that you are being served papers at work because your husband is a hostile idiot.

I think you did what you had to.

A serious lack of common courtesy by your "neighbor" has forced you to take a pro-active position.

Good luck!

Bugsinrugs 01-17-2014 07:21 AM

Keep us posted.... This guy must be flaming about now.

KFC911 01-17-2014 07:54 AM

Me, I'd send this nutcase a bag of popcorn and then push his "hot" button :)

ps: Seriously...be careful and good luck!

send pizza to his office-

"lunch for all on me"

kill with kindness-

GH85Carrera 01-17-2014 09:12 AM

Good move. Will any of your other good neighbors have him served?

70SATMan 01-17-2014 09:28 AM

Did you go back to Animal Control to explain the further shennanigans?

Noney 01-17-2014 10:00 AM

Wow. The dude must be ready to blow a friggin' gasket right about now.

I feel for you, man. You did what you had to do but unfortunately you have now entered into the most dangerous phase of this whole thing as Bob realizes you aren't going to take his $hit and he begins to plan his next course of action. This is when things could potentially get really ugly. Either he (hopefully) decides to calm down and behave like a normal human being, or he escalates things into Crazy Town and does something completely irrational.

Obviously, be hyper-vigilant and have all your bases covered. It sounds like nothing is off-limits to this freak.

GOOD LUCK!!!

Unless you are talking about poison pizza, I don't think being nice would get you anywhere against this nutbag.

Guy is going there eventually anyway.

Much better to have documented history of harassment so when it does get ugly you hopefully have some justification for whatever response was appropriate.

Yup. I would definitely keep my head down for a while.

In California, when a restraining order is granted, the restrainee must surrender all firearms. Is it the same in SC?

Rikao4 01-17-2014 10:43 AM

he's gonna come after your dog....
poison most likely....
be real careful and start looking for stuff in your yard..

Mother of god, who has this kind of time to f with neighbors to this degree? Am I just lazy? I would rather drool on one of my projects or go for a walk than worry about messing with any of my neighbors...

Granted, I don't live in an environment where people mess with others.

Oh well...

Our dog stays in sight at all times during the day now. She sleeps in my shop at night. If I have to leave during the day, I drive the truck and she goes with me or else she stays indoors. No more unsupervised time outside. I fully expect him to go after her, as he is too chicken**** to go toe-to-toe with me.

My shop already has a few surveillance cameras due to a break-in that occurred last year. Today I installed cameras on my house. Over the weekend I will double the number of cameras on the shop.

Two others have called me about the process so that they can consider it. One stopped by and picked up copies of the forms.

I have heard that this is true here also, but do not know it for fact. Yet.

Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn.
