Pollen Count 8024

I'm used to the clouds of greenish-yellow stuff covering every square inch of my cars, house and pets, but man....running in this stuff is the strangest thing. It feels as though I have inhaled a pound of particulate matter into my lungs---at least it rained a bit yesterday and washed some of it away.

High levels are somewhere between 90-1499 but this 8k stuff is off the charts!

Never have I lived anywhere that has this much pollen every spring!

Good thing I don't have allergies.

Rant over.

my family does have allergies and this year is killing me.

That really seems like a very high pollen count. At some point, do they change it from "pollen count" to "pollen swarm?"

Also - where do you live? (if you don't mind sharing).

Must be near me in NE Georgia. The recent thunderstorm seems to have washed most of it away. Pretty clear since then...at least the Pine pollen that is visible anyway.

Spring has me hitting the pharmacy for sudafed like I'm setting up a meth lab. Thank god for chemistry!

Seriously, I think that's what killed/drove off the Anasazi from the SW. Juniper, pine and cottonwood pollen...

lol---that's the actual count and it's here in Atlanta. Down today to only 4400 or so but still outrageous.

I'd probably die if I was there. I have pretty severe allergies and really suffer if there is a lot of pollen in the air.

I just monkeyed rolled out of a turkey blind, sprinted way back to my truck and downed an allergy pill. I would have ground it up and snorted it if my sinuses weren't plugged and itchy:). Spring is awful. Pollen and piles of pet hair. Gross.

This year has been so bad I even have a new symptom--the roof of my mouth starts itching about 1-2 minutes before I go into a sneezing fit.

My poor kids are also stuffed up and sneezing like crazy.

My wife just laughs at us...

Last weekend in Birmingham. That's not smog. It's pollen.
