Historical 911 models
I am looking for a nice model of a 1980's 911 Carrera or 930.
The Porsche Design site offers a 73 911 Carrera 2.7 RS in their historical models collection. Anyone know if there was ever a model of the 80's Carrera. |

If you're talking about plastic model kits, The 1/24 Fujimi Enthusiast series are about as good as they get..
Here's one. Here's a few pics of one I'm working on.. ![]()

Thanks for the response Nostril Cheese.
Actually I am looking for a die cast or whatever the models available from the Porsche Design site/or like the ones I have seen on the Porsche Museum site. I sent an email to the Porsche Museum and they do not have an online store. However,I like your plastic model thanks for the link. Monogram makes a plastic 1:24 Porsche 911 Turbo, I am not please with it. |

someone gave me the Tamiya 911 and its really pretty detailed. So I built a diorama and had it sitting on my bookshelf in my office, then my kid grew a little bigger and they got to it. That was the end of that.

Check through the 18 pages of P-car diecasts here... AUTOart is one of the best... most are 1:18 scale:

I second on the Fujimi. Testors also put out some of the same kits in a licensing agreement with Fujimi.
I've got several of the Fujimi series and as a matter of fact, I went through all of my plastic kits over the weekend to trim out a bunch. If anyone is interested send me a PM. I'm unloading a bunch of vintage stuff (pre 1970) and some of my Fujimi kits (80s vintage). Some of the stuff I inherited from my uncles, some I've collected...

Autoart diecasts are great. I have the 73 RS. You can even read (with magnifying glass) the stickers under the decklid and hood.
