I'm your guy for route location and selection. I work with two companies that do that work and I supply the UAV's to help.

All automated stuff. Amazing, really.

Also leak detection, vegetation encroachment, maintenance, etc. I will not send over, under any circumstances, one of the young women that work for us.:)

Nopers, sammy aint a good guy and knows very little about building pipelines, 'cept for a little bout welds, type of piping, certain coatings, cathodic protection, and pigging.
Oh and he knows the pumps that move the stuff.
Other than that he doan know squat bout no pipelines, he's a refinery rat.

Mike - I used to know a guy with Texaco Transport - a highup guy for Wyoming... tell me more about this and let me know if you do or don NOT want me to contact him...

Been in pipeline operation, facility design/construction, equipment and technology evaluation/specification/selection, development and maintenance of SOP/O&M, worked with industry groups to write/update industry standards.....for almost my entire career. Currently manage measurement, corrosion and compression techs.

Not sure I have time to be a great resource, but you can certainly hit me up via e-mail. I don't check PM's. If you're looking for a primer, get "The Pipeliner's Handbook".
