The "new" Road & Track

Anyone else cancel their subscription to R&T after the premier issue of their new format?
Now out of Michigan (not Newport Beach).
Can't tell the ads from the articles. (They manage to turn several ads into articles)
It looks like every page has a 'pop-up' attachment.
Articles I don't care about, (What would Will Ellis drive?).
A tease with a Lotus 49 vs. a Corvette ZR1? c'mon.
Features are 'continued on page xxx' so you have to search for the last paragraph on an unnumbered page in the back.
Dear Bob (Lutz) ha, ha letters on the last page - total fail as humor.
Who are those contributing editors, and who is that editor?
And why is the print so small now?
.....canceled after over 40 years of subscribing
end of rant, have a nice day
Bill K

I'll get my fix of Peter Egan at the library or Amazon.

Haven't read it in years, is Peter Egan still writing Side Glances?

Not ready to cancel after only one issue. I imagine there will be some evolution over time. Definitely gearing for a younger audience

I hate the new format - more article "jumps", just a bunch of mis-mash on the pages. I really hope they get wise quickly and fix it.

Yes, Egan still writes.

I like it a lot. The writing is sharp and incisive, the stories very well done. That magazine needed a rethink, what with the previous upteen editors sleepwalking through their jobs, unafraid to change anything for fear of the wrath of the ghosts of John and Elaine Bond, the founders.

As for the jumps, I don't much care for them, but it seems a small price to pay for the quantum leap forward this magazine has taken. I like what they've done.

I only buy it for the Peter Egan column. Guess I can just wait until the latest compilation book of his articles comes out. Rest of the magazine sucks. WTF can't they number the pages if they are pushing the rest the article to the back of the magazine?

If they are gearing their new format towards a younger crowd - it's unfortunate, and probably the beginning of the end - like so many newspapers.
When's the last time you saw a smart phone/kindle/etc. user actually read something from a piece of paper that wasn't a menu?
End of rant #2, please return your seat-backs to the upright position.

Pretty much just about all automotive related magazines suck nowdays. Besides the fact that most are up to $7.00, you are paying all that money for pages and pages of ads and, 4 pages of actual articles.

Imagine how bad it would be if they moved to New Jersey
