Work Boots
I know a lot of fellow Pelicans and Pelicanettes work on their feet and just wanted to give a heads up on a great product.
I walk about 7 miles a day on concrete floors, linoleum and carpet, dressing and working on sets. I don't have foot or knee problems (knock on wood) but wanted to get a decent, long lasting pair of boots. Picked up a pair of these awhile back and they are hands down the best work boots I've ever had. Made in USA, employee owned company and just a great shoe. It's tough to find American made products at a great price and these are cheaper than Red Wing's Chinese made Irish Setter boots. I know we all want to try and buy local, just thought I'd give a shout out to a great product. Thorogood Men's 814-4200 American Heritage 6" Moc Toe Boot,Tobacco,10 D US:Amazon:Shoes |
unfortunately, they don't come in sage green...:(

Try Danners if you're looking for sage green

Hopefully, I've purchased my last pair....Rockys were the best, but wearing Rockports now...but even they aren't great.

Do yourself a favor & try some inserts if you don't already use them. Superfeet are ok, but these are my favorite. Dr recommended them for a sore meniscus & they really work well. You can heat them in the oven to conform to your feet.

With the insoles, it depends on what you need, cushion, motion control or both. Sorbathane makes some nice cushioned ones also. I would need to look at them to comment, the heat moldable ones can be pretty sweet.

I like and I'm ready for some new boots. About the same price as the Red Wings I have been buying, but I'm not enamored with RW much anymore.

I like my Caterpillars
