Yard work is good, but weeding sucks. I'm sore.

You can find a good used Trek 800 anywhere for around $100. It's a very solid bike with a good crank, derailer, and brakes. For regular exercise, around town, beach cruiser, or trail riding it is a lot of bang for the buck and they last forever. Don't expect to win your local 10,000' peak climb on it.

Sound like this is the official middle age fat guy thread.

There really isn't enough time during the day to get work done, but play or exercise? Can'tdrv, I am in the same boat but have decided to give up working on the car completely. I don't enjoy it anymore, but it is somewhat fun at times when I have a week and take my time to get some things done on it. I actually enjoy washing and the polishing it, but was able to only do it once since I owned the 930 for more then 10 years.

One of the local P car guys ask to help him with the purchase of a road bike, so I started riding, fitting him on the bike and show him some basic riding / fitness stuff. Next thing I know, there are more of them and some had been riding for a bit and are good strong riders. Now every Wed afternoon, we go riding and put in 30+ miles. God only knows I need to do this and am obligated to go ( a good thing for me). It keeps me sane. I use to be the guy that put the hurt on lot of guys, now I am having a taste of my own medication from a couple of these bastards. A little competition is good because it pushes all of us just a little harder. Most of them race Porsches, so they are naturally competitive. They will break my legs again tomorrow.
