I purchased a 7500 watt gen-set with a 13 HP Honda engine. Owner said that it did not put out any electricity. Paid $100.00 for the thing, Took it home, started it up, no power. Noticed that the governor was tightened down and not allowing the engine to rev up. Works great now.

Like what qualities? I'm sure you disrespect many qualities in people every day.......too fat. they smell, bad hair, no hair, sexual preference, food choices, wrong shoes, car they drive, their politics, where they live, what religion they practice....spare us the shock......I just don't hold much value in individuals who can't change a bike tire and don't care to learn.

so get off the high horse, which by the way I can build for you.

I seen a little of that show, but is that not a valid point in the value of certain skill sets.

I don't think there is much need for sales and marketing skills or a MBA in a survival situation.

No kidding.

romad: that's a rather judgmental attitude. Everyone has a different skill set. The key is to find what your skill is and then raise the class average of society. You have mechanical skills but probably don't know how to program a computer, can't handle international hostage negotiation, and suck at heart surgery...
Personally, I have no respect for anyone who thinks Ice Hockey is boring. :D

I know Metrosexuals who insist they make enough "to pay people"-Even some of them won't move their own furniture. Guys like that I view as little girls. No basic skills, no respect for creative work, only understand "new".

They'd never be able to survive on their own, precious little flowers.

Oh, and concerning "important qualities"- it's when they are needed is when I appreciate them.

Or a flat tire 150 miles out in the desert and no idea how to change it. You don't learn that in modern school. YOu just learn on your own.

You're the one on the high horse. lol. I just asked a simple question.

You're the one who has his nose up in the air claiming you're better than others. Go build yourself something to pull the stick out of your ass.

Thanks for laugh.

People who abandon good machinery because they don't bother to diagnose faults earn the appropriate judgement. The addiction to purchasing new new new new new new keeps the economy churning. In part, our economy is built on stupidity and I guess we should all be thankful for those folks doing their parts?? :)

Heart surgery or any surgery is a pretty useful mechanical skill.....now the hockey thing is funny'
I'll add to my list of likes, a person with a sense of humor, we would eat you last on a deserted island.

Oh the "your high horse is higher then mine argument......I answered your question honestly, I even said it was a character flaw.......but you are still agreeing to my point with you opinion of me.

That you're being judgmental for no good reason? I'm sure there are many people with mech/electrical skills who are d-bags that you shouldn't respect or even associate with and the fact that you even use that as a metric in whether or not a person earns your respect or not is just idiotic.
