Last month I was visiting my sister in Mapleton, Utah and ended up in SCHEELS Sporting Goods. I bought two used shotguns, Winchester 1200 and an 1897, had them shipped back to California. -_-
When I picked them up the 1897 had been dropped by UPS and the stock was chipped, the shotgun had been redone and was in great condition. I took pictures and called SCHEELS, after a little phone tag with the gun manager she apologized up and down, she didn't know how to replace it because it isn't manufactured anymore. I sent her a link to a website that still makes them and the cost of replacement plus shipping.
No problem I will cut you a check today, she says. I got it yesterday, $102.00 for a new stock and butt plate, i only paid $150.00 for the shotgun. So if you have a SCHEELS in your area give them your business they treat the customer right.
