This kid gets it, tells his teacher to get off her ass and teach
Seems this kid was a dropout and went back to school. He's 18 in the 10th grade. Sounds like an intelligent young man. Possibly the reason for dropping out the first time was lack of a stimulating learning environment.
My wife is a teacher, she has 3 degrees including a Masters, she leaves for work at 6:30 and gets home around 5. After dinner and the rest of family time is done she works on lesson plans till 10:30 every night. It's teachers like this that give teachers like my wife a bad name. Almost feels like when he says "*****ing" he is responding using the teachers own words. As if he raised his issues with her and she told him to quit *****ing. Kid also has the makings of a good preacher, great body language with the hands and pleasant tone to his voice.

I don't think so.
I bet he learned the value of an education and diploma the hard way and is simply demanding his teacher do what she was hired to do. Kid is frustrated. Look at that class, not one student has anything on their desk, no papers, no notebooks, no one has a pen or pencil out while the teacher is sitting behind her desk on her cell phone. Appears they are doing nothing but being warehoused and killing time.

I beg to differ.
He realizes individuals do not all learn the same. If I addressed everyone who came to the Interpretive Centre in the same fashion, some would get it, others would say I was 'talking over their heads', some would get bored and yet others would ask questions about points I had already covered. The timing of his plea was poor. He should have spoken to his teacher in private, but I think he was sincere (and frustrated). What's with that cadence and inflection? Is that "Inner City White Kid"speak? Best Les

Scrub to 2:25.
Seems like a reasonable young man. And it's been corroborated that when he asked about the test time the Teacher told him to stop *****ing and booted him from class. Teacher needs to go. http://www.myfoxla.com/story/22201163/duncanville-students-teacher-rant-goes-viral

The teacher is another product of the Teacher's Union, an now has tenure, so she can stop working. Throw more $$ at her she will only get better! at least that is what the Union will tell us. Besides telling us "Its for the children" BS they love to spout. Teaching is a part time job with executive wages around here. In this town they have gym teachers teaching five classes a day and making over $100k! Not bad for only 180 days of work with the summer off to go to their lake home in the Mercedes.

Having working in the court system involving teacher and school district efficiency, I couldn't agree more. It's a shame that 99% of teachers give the other 1% a bad reputation.

You want kids to go to school and pay attention?
I cannot believe a school would fire a teacher for this! ![]() Olivia Sprauer, high school teacher, fired for bikini modeling photos High school teacher loses her job over sexy bikini photos Olivia Sprauer’s side job as a bikini model has cost her her main job as a high school English teacher. The curvy 26-year-old Floridian, who models under the moniker Victoria Valentine James, said she was asked to resign from her position at Martin County High School after someone sent the principal one of her modeling photos, most of which feature her in provocative poses sporting bikinis and skimpy lingerie. But Sprauer, who planned to leave her teaching job at the end of the school year anyway, doesn’t appear to have her panties in a bunch. While she said she misses her students (and we’re sure the male students miss her), she plans to continue modeling and go to graduate school.

More than a passing resemblance, but Billy is more than 18, and I can't imagine him being married.

He had me until about 1:15 when he said, "if you want I'll teach you some more things..."
I have no doubt that the teacher was lacking. But the student also is full of himself. As 18 year olds often are. The teacher handled it pretty calmly. |

Yeah an 18yr old in 10th grade has earned the right to criticize anyone he chooses.

Interesting comments.
We regularly rail on people in this country that we consider slackers yet here we have a kid who for whatever reason dropped out of school and learned that without an education/diploma he was going to go no where so he re-enrolls, which can't be an easy thing to deal with, 18 and in 10th grade. The altercation was because he questioned why his class was being given less time than her other classes to take a test. It's been corroborated that the teacher told him to stop *****ing about it and then asked him to leave the class. The teacher used profanity first. Why you guys don't feel he can't insist the teacher put in the same effort as himself is perplexing to me. Because he's a former drop out he somehow has less of a right to insist on an education? That's f'd up. He wants to be there and he wants to learn. I don't get it.

He clearly has STILL not learned that to be a success he has to adapt to the situation and learn to excel within it.
I don't doubt the teacher may be a lazy **** but if he spends all his time trying to correct others he's going to miss the opportunity to improve himself.
