I wonder how long it lasts. I'd love to have my car coated with a shiny, clear version including the windows and convertible top.

If they can make it clear and it lasts... The possibilities are endless.

Would be awesome for coating on a tent or other backpacking gear.

Hmmm very interesting! High surface energy fo sho! I can see where that could be used for about a zillion applications. If its price point is low enough it could displace teflon (flouropolymers) provided it has better abrasion resistance and has similar chemical and thermo resistance as teflon.
