OH Collector Plates Question
I am currently searching for G50. I am interested in one that has a cat bypass. So my question is when I get into Ohio I will get temporary plates...after that am I able to obtain Collector plates and avoid going thru E-check?

I'm fairly sure that plates have nothing to do with echeck. If the car is over 25 years old, it is exempt. You can get Historical Plates, which are self renewing for 50 years IIRC. Collector plates need to be renewed just like normal plates.

I have had OH collector plates on my '88 911 for years, long before it was 25-years-old. You do have to renew them every year (I don't think the cost is much/any different from standard plates), but you do not need to get an E-check with OH collector plates.
You will have to prove you have another car (i.e., daily driver) registered in your name. Hope this helps. |
