Mystery Porsche, what is it?
May be a 1960. Any idea of what it is? Doesn't look like a regular 356 cab. Any idea of what it's worth?

Speedster?
I'm guessing... we have some 356 experts that will hopefully chime in.

It's a 1960-61 roadster.

Could be either a '60 or '61 T5 Roadster. Wheels indicate disc brakes which came on the '64 and '65. Bit of a basket case, but as desparate as people are getting to find these cars, it's still worth a bundle depending on what comes with the shell.

Here's a B Roadster with paint on it.

Also, a '60 would have evidence of the Porsche script in the front:
![]() That was really one of the very few changes from '60 to '61. |

The "Speedster D" (convertible D) from '59, the B roadsters ('60 thru '63, some made by an outfit other than karmann/reuter).
Got the chassis number? That will tell.... you can do a lookup at Porsche 356 and 912 Serial Number Reference Site

I drove around in a '60 -D- convert in the 1980's. To me the profile had more of a streamline look especially when the windscreen was removed. Was never sure if it had the original color - metallic grey, but the seats were redone in a basic black vinyl. Ah, the simple days and fun of things.
More I think about it and of that era, most could care less about the 356 and were into the then current 911. Crazier yet, the fellow who purchased my decaying '72 E changed it into a 930 look. That was the 'in thing'. LOL
