Goat Killer

This is pretty nuts. What type of rifle is that?

When goats moved in to the Galapagos the hairy bastards ate all the tortoise's food. Something had to be done. Watch this amazing marksman dispatch goats from an airborne chopper.

Looks to be an Ar15 OR M16 type weapon. Free float bbl.

HardDrive 05-21-2013 03:33 PM

AR-10. Pretty sure thats a .308.

Jim Bremner 05-21-2013 03:39 PM

Well, the reason they were flown in from New Zealand is because they are not welcome here. Helicopters were being shot at in the sky and set fire to on the ground as a form of umm, consumer backlash.

I know they are eradicating a problem but the cruelty of fairly ramdomly placed shots anoyed half the country and commercially hunting deer from helicopters in the wilds wound up the other half of the country.

Sorry, that's a standard GI magazine. 5.56x45.

An AR-15 of some kind. Free-float handguard with a bull barrel. .308 recoil would have been much more visibly apparent.

"Watch this amazing marksman dispatch goats from an airborne chopper. "

Why would anyone want to watch that?

You're right.

High velocity prairie dog vaporization is much funnier!

The good thing about prairie dog vaporization is it's instant. No cruelty. One of those goats was wounded and just stood there waiting for the next shot.

I find the joy some people get out of watching God's creatures being destroyed disturbing.

I agree

andyt11 05-22-2013 06:23 AM

yeah, I get the need to control pests, I'm not sure I'd make slow mo videos complete with flashy banners and captions. Something wrong with some people.

creaturecat 05-22-2013 06:26 AM

Are you vegan?

gordner 05-22-2013 09:40 AM

Not really relevant if he is a vegan, I think everyone knows that animals die to support human needs and that is just the way of life. However, it takes some one a bit sick in the head to watch it for entertainment. What is the point in that? Even when the actions are necessary and required, does not mean that are fun to watch.

Not quite the same thing., and a lot of people probably DON'T watch violent movies. Never mind.

gordner 05-22-2013 11:16 AM

Yes I do and fail to see the relation. One is fantasy and the other reality. I personally don't see the purpose in filming these things with all the fanfare etc., at least the goat guy is filling a role, those idiots with the prairie dogs are the type of people that get a out of drowning kittens. There is, in my mind at least, no good reason to film and distribute this garbage.

No.
I suppose your point is that because I eat meat I should enjoy sitting around watching movies about animals being staughtered?
That's like saying because you take a schit every day you should enjoy sitting around watching movies of people schitting.
