so, i definately got up on the wrong side of the bed..
allow me to vent.
i "volunteered" to do some emergency night work. for the locals, we are gonna repair Hwy 580, at the bay bridge MacArthur maze. ground zero for traffic insanity. it was supposed to start monday night. ok..the guy running the job is a moron. whatever. he cancels and says, "if you dont hear from me tuesday, we are ON.". i worked all day tuesday..went home, and miraculously fell asleep. i blackenend my room, put my phones on vibrate, put on PJ's..lights out, 3pm to 9pm. woke up. high fived myself for my sleeping kungfu. kissed my wife for being so quiet. ate dinner (Breakfast?)..packed a lunch, filled a thermos with delicious Philz coffee! i got into my work truck, started it and put on my day-glo safety pants...my phone rings. tuesday night was cancelled..it was just some guy, that realized nobody called me. ARRGGGHH!!! now i am effen wide awake with my 6 hour "nap"..i fell back asleep at 2 am. i am now in my office snapping at everyone. good times! we had a safety meeting with donuts. some idiot barehanded, started to move donuts around to get to his favorite at the bottom. the governor on my mouth was not functioning and i blasted him... more coffee is needed.. thanks. |
Everyone you seem to work with seems to be a moron.

Group donuts.......first one you touch is yours.......only an inconsiderate idiot doesn't oblige......

Had issues with my SAN fabric last night -- reboot at 1:45am fixed it.
Today, I am tired and cranky and need to get a firmware update plan to mgmt by 2. Argh. |
Got an email last week from a manger in other geography that basically read "Suzy needs server access." I write back telling him I need to know what server, what level of perms, Suzy's login name etc. Got an email just now (with a wider CC distribution) - "Suzy still needs server access - this is critical"

Mom is dieing of brain cancer after a tumor was removed.
now has a fractured back vertebrae. can't stand up or sit down out of a chair without 30 minutes of genuine effort. pretty much bed ridden. Don't want to talk about bathroom visits as a 50 year old son and his 77 year old mother. I live 24/7 by her side. dementia is getting worse and she doesn't know what year it is. ya'll be careful about what you think is a "tough day" at the office. signed "welcome to my Life" dave. |

Are these the same guys that used bolts and cables to hold together a bridge, over water, that weaken and fail if they get wet? Did they use bolts made out of candy canes or something?
Dave, sorry about your Mom. Dementia is horrible. |
