I've heard anything with chrome bumpers that bolt straight on. But that would make my '89 Chevy truck a classic.

I would recommend a '69 Bug convertible in the midst of a body-off restoration - perhaps with a gallon of paint included and miscellaneous left-over parts.
You could of had a '87 Mercedes SEC but that opportunity has come and gone.

You can still find decent examples of these for about $5K. Probably not an early "lowlight" though.
