enjoyed the new Star Trek movie
Takes a lot to get me to a theater.
They just built a new multi-plex here in Napa. Big recliner seats, great view and sound. Anyway... The Movie was very exciting and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I like the way they bring in bits from the TV series and the earlier movies. I might actually go see it again. Took my wife to the matinee. Nice outing. ![]() KT

I digged it as well- however, the Kirk dying scene was corny as hell. Look at how they did the Wrath of Khan, that was a much, much better job. Ending was a bit cheesy too. Should've blown Khan up in space.
Why couldn't anyone just keep a phaser trained on that Khan? Didn't the first 10 times or so he whooped ass given Kirk a clue to put some serious dudes with guns on him? Entertaining movie nonetheless. I would've stunned Khan right out of the chute and stuck him back in the freezer ASAP, spent the rest of the time chasing Admiral's daughter.... rjp

The reveal that it was Khan got an audible response from the audience.
I have no complaints. KT

Khan was a good villain. I laughed out loud when they got on the bridge of the Vengeance, he started spouting off and he got zapped with that phaser. Out cold LOL.

Matinee is the best - no crowds. Of course, none of it was believable, but still fun

With the last movie and this one, did you notice there is a an alternate eventuality due to a time travel event?

Probably. I just hope they don't follow the series TOO closely, you know what I mean? We all know the stories. Been watching Trek since the 70's, and the original act is hard to follow.

The little bit with the tribble made me chuckle.

Space Guinea pig LOL.
You know what I'm saying tho, I hope they come up with some original themes- like the 1st trek. They can't be doing much more with Leonard Nimoy, he's hung it up several times already. I am a fan of the original series, and hope this does it justice....

Kind of a disappointment. Khan was a badass. This guy isn't believable as Khan. Still a good film. Although it would be nice to have more emphasis on the science and less of the action. Even there was no need for this one scene, i aint complaining.
Alice Eve is f*ing HOT.

They made her kind of plain wrap in Star Trek.
Jack **** wouldn't get done on the Enterprise if she looked like this:

There was no spoiling information in the title - and there is no need for you those who don't want to know anything to read the thread, so why the hate?
Not to mention, the OP didn't really say much...

Star trek is real GOOD EVEN believable....time travel, aliens, warp speeds and all.....but they lost me when they give command of a Capital ship to a midshipman before he even graduated......now that is PURE SCIENCES FICTION
