Buddy got screwed
 

Hi Guys i know its maybe the wrong forum to post it but i guess i can reach more folks here .
Here is the Story .
We have small Porsche community here in Aruba and a good friend of ours bought himself a used Boxster out of Miami a couple of weeks ago, he got his first born and he wanted to surprise his wife with her dream car. So make a long story short , the car arrived here on the island only to realize a big oil spill in the oversea container so we looked at the problem and figured out that it came from the transmission, after further investigation the problem seams clear the pressed in bronze shaft bushing to the torque converter was totally worn out and could not replaced anymore .
Unfortunately the guy is a jung chef and put all it Mula into the car shipping, import duty ( 50 %) etc ...and his dream became a night mare , the seller gives a Fu..kink sh about him so we are on our own to help him out here .
What i want to ask is ,we are looking for a reasonable priced used Tiptronic transmission for a 03 2.7 ltr Boxster without core chrage etc ( that will be around 800$ ) to ship the old unit to the US only !! best is out of Florida but we can arrange shipping if the unite is tide on a Palette .
The rebuild units on the web all require a core charge my best bet is he goes with a used one from a reliable source that why i post it here on Pelican !!
