Congrats...
|
Congrats! I finish my degree in December, and like you I'm already working part time with a full time gig lined up!
|
Yes, welcome to IT! I'm on call over Memorial Day weekend. It's 5am on Saturday morning and I've been up for two hours, with probably two more to go.
Careful what you wish for! :) Get all the training you can out of your employer. And every time you have to escalate an issue to somebody, follow up with them later and find out what they did to resolve it. And never turn down a free lunch! |
Nice job! I went from CS to EE but I still have fun with my IT job in the summer.

Yeah flieger, that day was one of the days I actually was going to go to class and I showed up and the campus air was brown the fire came straight west and all the smoke settled in the valley that the school is in they closed the campus right as I showed up. I've been taking guitar lessons from a guy in TO and I work in Camarillo.
my new shift starts at 7am which previously that time of the morning didn't actually exist for me. Man that EE stuff is just so beyond me. Still just blows my mind, in Architecture learning about how it all works but to be the guy that thought of it and physically designed it I don't even dude. |
Congratulations!!!!

Oh and Congratulations. It has been almost 40 years since I completed my first degree. Retirement from my first career was at 50 and I am retiring next month from the Military (31 years active and reserve). IT GOES BY FAST. |
Two semesters of unnecessary calc was for more than I ever wanted to take. You're right about that certainly does go by fast. Couldn't stand it math just isn't for me.
With EE and the why behind how it works it makes sense when explained but to be the person who thought of something and designed it It's just one of those things that is amazing to me, those guys just seem like their on a whole 'nother level. Designing the circuits and all those shenanigans. |
