Our craft beer largers are so full of hops and yeast from the micro brewers competing to be better and more that I find them to be undrinkable. I tend to drink East India Pale Ales and Pilsners. I'm not your average kiwi who "goes on the piss" but are there for the flavors and the occassion. There is a small brewer called Matsons who do the cleanest crispest Pilsner I ever had but I find it hard to locate here in the north island. Australians have craft beers nailed. Beautiful beers best drank very cold on the veranda of an old Queensland pub :) |

That's pretty cool. My kind of road trip.:)
I was glad to see Boulevard in KC show up, that's probably the most prevalent craft beer around these parts and one of my favorites. Am I the only one that doesn't see Samuel Adams as a "craft" beer? They seem just as mainstream as the big breweries. Not that I dislike their products (love me some Octoberfest), but they seem like the 500 lb gorilla compared to many of the local breweries listed. |
Just stumbled into this cool concept on kickstarter.
