Smile Another fine Pelican meeting!

Had the pleasure of meeting up with Rick Lee yesterday. Hung out and BS'd over a few cold Yuenglings. Great guy. Very cool to hang with. Greatly enjoyed his company. I think the only thing we didn't get to talk about was politics and guns. The one thing I thought we'd spend half the day on. Even had the pleasure of meeting Mrs lee ( Rick's mom...) very sweet lady.
Wish we had more time to hang. Had a great time, Rick!

That's a good sign. You probably meshed very well and were fortunate enough to converse over stuff that does NOT come routinely on a message board.

Carry on gents....

No Hooters. Unfortunately the closest one would have been down in AC

I have to try very hard to keep my mouth shut about guns when visiting NJ. The people there are great, but it's a police state. The obersturmbannfuehrers they had running radar on the blvd on LBI yesterday were sickening.

Anyway, very nice to meet Vinman and always a treat to get Yuengling when back east. I get to meet Porsche4life and Tweezers this week in Phoenix. I hear she "loves BJs," or so she wrote in the thread.

Rick, you know you were in safe company as far as guns go! Hell I woulda invited you shooting if I could get ammo anywhere.

Yeah I saw Tweez's post there . That was just asking for abuse. lol

Oh, yeah the guitarist I couldn't think of ( the one my ESP came from) is Thommy Price. I remembered on the way home....

Yuengling, isn't that what they call the little jedi-kids in training in episode 2?

No, you're thinking Padawans.

Yuengling is my favorite Chinese beer.

EDIT: Did a search,

Quote:
Ranks of Jedi
Members of the Order progress through four tiers of rank, at times referred to as levels:

Youngling: A Jedi Youngling is a child, a Jedi-in-training, learning to control the Force and wield a lightsaber. The title of "Youngling" is the first part of Jedi training. Younglings were seen training under Jedi Master Yoda in a scene on Attack of the Clones and hiding during the assault on the Jedi Temple in Revenge of the Sith.

Padawan: A Youngling who successfully completes training then undergoes Padawan training under the tutelage of a Jedi Knight or Jedi Master. They are also called "Apprentices" and "Padawan learners". As a rite of passage and the final test before the trials to knighthood, Padawans must build their own lightsabers. In the Old Republic, Padawans usually wore a hair braid on the right side of their head which was removed with a lightsaber upon attaining knighthood. They also served as Commanders in the Clone Wars. The term Padawan appears to originate in Sanskrit and can be understood as “learner," both in Sanskrit and by contemporary native speakers of Sanskrit-based languages.[1][2]

The force is strong with this one.

I forgot the youngling term. But then I couldn't use "my favorite Chinese beer" line.
