WWII Pilot gets shown footage of his own crash
Hats off the these fellows, as brave as you can get - flying unarmed planes to Berlin to take photos.
Great little film. http://m.wimp.com/warfootage/ |
Here is a live link:
WWII pilot gets shown footage of his 1944 Spitfire crash that he's never seen until now. [VIDEO] Thanks for posting that. I will show it to our pilot. We shoot aerial photos for a living. No one shoots at us fortunately :D |
For the love of dog and all that is holey, please don't post links to lame-ass sites like wimp.com - Find the original on youtube and bypass all of the BS

A great story ! Just seeing his face when he realized that it was the footage of his crash landing was fascinating.

ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE! brought tears to my eyes watching him.
i like the narrorators dialect. it certanly did not fit him though. i imagined someone more like the grandson. |
Wow, that was great. Brave (young) man, and such a beautiful aircraft. And Piece of the prop just sitting in his book case.
Can any aviator types say why that Spitfire recce version, no doubt stripped for speed and altitude, would have used a wooden prop? AFAIK, this was not the norm. |
That was really awesome!
