Road rage incident in Maryland - NJ cop shoots other driver

Anyone else hear this story?

I only heard about it tonight on the radio coming home from work.

I don't have ALL the details but after reading about what is reported I can't help but wonder why this off duty cop didn't do what law enforcement always tells US to do. Dial 911 and wait for assistance/law enforcement to come.

Instead he pulls over, exits his vehicle, and shoots the other driver.

Was a 911 call ever made before the shooting? I don't know.

But I'm thinking that's maybe why the cop was charged.

Didn't get to watch the video as there was a commercial first and turned it off. To bad the whole story wasn't in print.
