Pikes Peak Hillclimb Records

Anybody know of a source for historical records?

I found some interesting 2012 comparisons for EVs and the GT3 on a wiki but have not come up with anything else.

I'd love to find out that a Bergspyder was raced there and it did it in xx minutes...

Ever since they paved most of the road the records don't matter......imo....
Iirc road and track had a good writeup and a list of previous records, don't remember how long ago though, could be years...

I think it's paved all the way to the top. At least that's what I read here.
Loeb should blow the record off by a full minute if the weather is good.

So, you're right, it doesn't matter. The Bobby Unser type tradition is over and those old guys can safely rest on their laurels.

Rod Millen was the king for a long time, he did it in 10:04 in a toyota celica in the 90's before it was paved all the way to the top. In my mind he's still the king of the hill. Nice guy too. Had dinner with him one time. He talks funny tho ;)

Some would argue that the Unser family are the kings, and they would have strong grounds for that argument at least from a USAC point of view.

The GT3R did it in 9:46.181 (paved, 2012), Rod's nephew holds the current overall record (paved, 2012) at 9:46.164 in a slightly modified hyundai genesis.

I was there in 2012. The GT3R was denied a clean run according to the French driver.

Also, I saw Rod's drive. His car was about 1% celica but oh what a noise that thing made with anti-lag and its ability to hit 140mph on longest straight of decomposed granite.

Still my favorite from two years ago, make it full screen and turn it up:
