i'm interested on the durability of this. will it survive outdoor abrasion.

looking at some posts, it sounds like there's a faint powdery white finish. i guess that rules that the replacement for RainX for windshields.

Looks/works good, but not for as long as you would like.

Leaves of a gingko tree have this same property. You can't get them wet.
