To our neighbors in Alberta

My wife and I can hardly believe the amount of damage from the floods you are dealing with. Even though we are thousands of miles east, when you hurt we hurt. Sorry for all your loses and hope for the best for you, and soon I hope things will look brighter.

The clean up is already underway, a huge undertaking but the casualty count was kept to a minimum, the property damage can be fixed.

As horrible as this event has been it really has showed how a community can come together to support each other!

Right, There's a lot of good people out there.

Have to agree.
Very impressive how total strangers are all coming and working together to help one another.
When they put a call out hoping to get 100 volunteers for a certain task and over 2000 applied that says a lot about the people of Alberta.
Also, Only took one or two days for people and companies from all across Canada to show up and lend a hand.

Thanks for the kind words, it was UNREAL! We are on a hill but were asked to leave as our community also has houses down the hill close to the river. We are fine and our house was fine, A lot of people aren't.

Some communities are still unable to return home.

For me it was a VERY busy week as downtown was closed and every company tried to work remotely. I was swamped trying to make sure our clients could get remote access.

From the Canada forum, there was a post to this video which is the best one I've seen of the damage just after it occurred.
