Any roller or board skaters?

Looking for information on Bones wheels and wider trucks.

As a former roller skater and used 64x64mm green bones, nice and hard.....used 3/4 track trucks.

Setting up a new pair and want to get something similar to what I had in the past.

Ebay has lots of "Old School" parts. Last year I built a Dogtown board, reporduction, of course, using Independent trucks and bones wheels. The bolt pattern has changed from years ago, so keep an eye out for that.

The trucks have changed.....OK, crud. I picked up some one use Riedell Carrera skate boots.

The trucks, plates and wheels are stock.

Trucks and some Bones......need to find out the "Durometer"? Don't want anything real sticky. Hard and slideable is good.

Do they still make "Clouds"? They were the schizzle for truck cushions back in the day....

Looks like the choice of bearings has proliferated. All China made. Any to avoid?

We used to pop the inner shields and then pack the bearings with tri-flow.

dude, you're old.
get a longboard with soft wheels and pliable trucks and remember why you started.

get the good stuff when you remember how to float

You can get a lot of old boards now as reissues.

I always skated Indy trucks, and they are available virtually unchanged from the past.

I like Bones ( NOT rat bones, those tiny hard nuggets), but Bones had a weak central core (the part between the bearings), and they tended to fail. Lots of better modern wheels out there.

Cool old school gator board.

Crazy what that dude ended up doing--if you haven't already you should watch "Stoked-the Gator Rogawski story"

Get 'Swiss bones' not 'china bones'. Swiss bones are really good bearings.
