Early riser

So my wife always bags on me that I get up way to early. I got up this morning at 6 because it is going to be hot today. Changed the shocks on my tacoma, power washed the deck and walkways, mowed all my lawns. It is noon now and the rest of the day I can relax. :D

My buddy calls me a 6:15 this morning ('cause he knows I've been up for a while already) to go help build dog fence. It's raining and now I'm done!

I now get up when I used to go to sleep (or pretty close to it) :)

4:30 here during the week and on the weekends I sleep until my body wakes up. Today it was 5

^ This. I lolled around til 5:15, feeling lazy, went cycling for 50 miles, home by 9.

Good times.

4 am during the week for me. Get my run in, get ready for work and enjoy some peace before the day starts

My body can only take so much laying down. I figure I will get my rest when it becomes dirt nap time!

masraum 06-30-2013 02:01 PM

I'm usually up until sometime between midnight and the am

I don't get up early unless I need to

I'll sleep when I'm dead.....in the meantime I got - things to do - places to go - people to see!

Work nights at the PD and have been averaging 3.5-4 hours a night. It is starting to wear me down though I get a ton done. :)

I just think that's awesome! What time do you early risers go to bed? And then what time do you actually fall asleep?

JA

I don't require much sleep many nights, and when I wake up...I'm up. Years of being on call. Fell asleep around 10:30...woke at 3...is it wrong to fire up a log splitter at 6:00 since I don't schedule meetings :D?

ps: I wouldn't do that...

only about two hours of real dark here a night this time of year. really ****s with your sleep cycle.

the dogs rarely let me sleep past six anyway.

VincentVega 07-01-2013 08:34 AM

I know what you mean. I woke up around 10:30 sunday, way too early for a weekend. :)

flatbutt 07-01-2013 08:41 AM

The older I get the less I sleep. If I go to bed early 9- 10 ish PM I'm awake by 3 - 4 AM. If I crash at 11 ish then I'm awake by4 or 5 AM.

Hugh R 07-01-2013 09:29 AM

Get up about 5:45 weekdays and 6:45 weekends.

Aragorn 07-01-2013 09:48 AM

I know that part of me usually wakes up before the rest...:D

Ronbo 07-01-2013 09:48 AM

I used to get up for work every day at 3:30 am. Since retiring last year I now sleep in to 6 or 7 am.

rattlsnak 07-01-2013 08:05 PM

The human body was not designed to get up before 10 AM.. ever...

Of course, I rarely go to bed before 2 AM..
