Road trip-Western Mich. lake tour-questions
I'm planning a road trip from Indy up through the west side of Michigan, through Macinknow, around the upper Penn,, around to Green Bay, and down to Road America for the vintage races on July 18-21. I have a tent, but would prefer to stay in a local Mom &Pop style motel. Leave on Monday and get there on Thursday. Give me some ideas on where to stay and eat. Thanks to all who reply.

The U.P. is exactly what you would see if you thought about a baron wilderness. My view is from going there in late winter

When you are in the Green Bay area a good mom & pop motel is the Bay Motel. Bay Motel & Family Restaurant, Green Bay WI They have a good restaurant attached. It is near Lambeau Field, and if you have time and are a football fan, the Packer Hall of Fame is a good way to kill a few hours. Titletown Brewery is a local micro brewery and restaurant that has good beers and good food. Titletown is on the west bank of the Fox River in the city center area. Shoot a p.m. if you need more info on eastern Wisconsin or the UP of Michigan. Have a great trip..... Mark
