last time I was around Oak Tree, I noticed the tree did not look so good. Would have thought they would have an arborist monitor it, that tree was their icon

Sad news for sure, have made more than a few turns under that old tree. Maybe the best were in the fall coming to the top of the hill and seeing the tree off to the right with its fall colors.

You should drive faster and look through the turn. Eyes up!

I'm with you widebody.... I had a spin this weekend at Thunderhill... Outside to inside to outside! If I'd been in that corner I'd have wrapped the car around the tree!

You are certainly right there. Had two GT3 RS's on my butt and was looking for cover. The tree seemed a very good choice about then.

Seriously though, that tree was their signature and I would have thought they would be very careful to treat it with the respect that it deserved. The message said it broke at the base meaning that it was diseased and needed help for quite some time. Some folks figure if it has always been there it will always be there.
