^^^^ That's true unless someone can decipher the PN. If these showed up at the Lit Meet, they might sell sealed in tube.
But, I'm still suspicious. I'm always suspicious. Been fooked enough to know to be suspicious. |
No reply from the op....

One of a couple of things may have happened. The OP hooked up with someone on the side (you know Wayne doesn't miss a thing :)) or read some of the posts here (like mine) and decided to go try this somewhere else later. A giggle search for "Porsche poster set PNA 000 085" turned up nothing except this thread.

Thank you vbaron, you understand my post. Once I can place a value I would possibly sell the set, but my primary reason for the post is to find out what is in it without opening the wrapper.
See attached photos. http://img_4207.jpg, [IMG]http://img...;IMG]_4209.jpg |
Thanks vbaron,
You seem to be the only one that understand my simple post. I am new at this forum stuff, and will try to send photos. To the rest that are assuming that I am trying to scam, you need to read my post again. |
Maybe you should read my post to you in post #3......If it's the 5 poster Strenger set it's worth every penny that I suggested. Fifty dollars each if sold separately.
There are very few compete sets available and will get big bucks. Of course this may NOT be what you have but until you open it up and at least describe the posters you have....we'll never know! |
Poster set photos

Yes, If they are Strenger posters they would be worth something, and I do appreciate your info. The photos show that the posters are wrapped and they are taped close. If I do sell them I want the buyer to decide if he or she wants to open. I have no intention of selling them without knowing myself what is in the set. This info is what I am trying to seek from the forum.
Thank Again |
I don't think there's any way to tell what those are until you take them out and unroll them. Go spend a few bucks on some poster tubes, unroll them, take pics and then put them into the tubes. Simple.
|
Well if it's the 5 poster Strenger set.....you are missing one poster!
Seriously, you are not going to DE-value the posters by carefully opening them and since the "part number" on the box is not in any database, I think all you are going to get is offers like you have in this thread. |
Unless you unroll them... We won't know what is in the set! I would buy them as an unknown, tell me what you would want for them!
Since the label says Poster Set "standard" I highly doubt they are the Strengers. The timeline he reports seems off for that as well. Just saying... |
What am I not understanding here? The box IS open.
"Marketing Material." Somebody email the crotchety old bastard over on the S Registry that used to sell Porsches at Circle Motors before 911's came out. |

18kplat- what numbers are on the other sticker on the box? Is there any information on the rolls themselves?
|
I've got a one carat diamond in my pocket. I don't want to take it out to show you. What is it worth?
|
I got a banana and some cash. Trade?

Nothing else on the wrapper or in the box. Talked to Sunset Porsche and gave them all the info and the part #, pulled up a blank. The label that you can not read basically has the same info as the the other label. This label looks like it was put on the box to fill the order, there is a REF.# 323-3-85405B, I would assume this is the invoice number when the dealer ordered it.
I probably should not have even mentioned that I would sell the posters as most people have responded with wise crack comments. You have been helpful , however I am very turned off by the general attitude of this forum. FYI. I see you had a 944, I am the original owner of a 89 944 Turbo with 14,200 mi . I have every piece of documentation down to the paper dealer tag for the keys. Some day I will sell the car, and believe it or not, like the posters it is not about the money it is more about finding a good home for it as I have taken great care with it and want it to go to some one that will do the same. |

you bought some poster's.. enjoy them.... Rika |
Well, the 'attitude' you perceive here is real alright. And if you'd seen all the rip offs and bad dealings over the years you would know why. 50% of the purchases I have made for used goods listed on this site have not been up to par and half of those were anywhere from pretty disappointing to a set of H4's that turned out to be H4 lamps cobbed into what otherwise was vacant H4 housings. I also bought a part that was supposedly off a 911R that was as bogus as they get. I bought a fuchs wheel that was so bent you could see it. Of course these sellers are long gone, but I'm still here and I never forget. I never got a refund from any of them.
Just to wrap up the story, I sold the bogus H4's for a fraction of the price to a VW guy telling him what they really were. I was going to make a clock out of the Fuchs, but it still sits there. I kept the 911R part on my shelf for about 7 years to remind me. I finally threw it in the trash. So, while I appreciate your sentiments, you could have 4 rolls of butcher paper in a box. But, let me try to be helpful. There is a member here going by the name of ty901 that seems to know a LOT about posters. I suggest you run this information by him if he hasn't already seen this. And the old guy on the S Registry is named Hammond. |
